Lesotho, officially known as the Kingdom of Lesotho, is a country located in Southern Africa, surrounded by South Africa. The capital and largest city is Maseru. The population of Lesotho is around 2.2 million people.

The country has a diverse population, with the Sotho being the largest ethnic group, followed by Europeans, and Basotho. Sesotho and English are the official languages. The majority of the population is Christian, with the Roman Catholic Church being the largest denomination.
